LE TOIT ; THE ROOF

Après un break de 2 mois, les travaux reprennent : j'attaque la structure supportant l'ouverture coulissante et les  renforts de toit;
After a 2 months break, I am back to work : hatch coaming beams and roof stringers.

La hauteur de la protection périphérique de l'ouverture de la descente étant un peu faible, je l'ai augmentée sur les conseils de John de 18mm en collant 1 tasseau de bois clair de 9 mm en haut et 1 en bas de chaque élément, et le résultat est plaisant, merci John;
The height of the hatch coamings was too small, so following John's advice I added 2 clear wood cleats of 9 mm, one at the top and one at the bottom of the original red cedar coaming and the result is pleasant, thank you John.

Les 3 éléments ; l'ouverture est très longue : 144 cm pour 80 cm de large. Cette longueur va nécessiter la confection d'un panneau coulissant en 2 parties, ce sera un nouveau challenge.

The 3 sections ; the opening is very long : 144 cm by 80 cm. This length needs a double hatch, this will be another challenge.

Les 2 panneaux arrières sont identiques pour centrer la descente compte tenu de la présence d'un moteur inboard.
The 2 back panels are identical to center the companionway above the inboard motor.

Collage des cloisons latérales, en veillant à conserver un angle constant avec le deck de 103° et c'est bon.

Gluing of the side panels, making sure to have a constant angle of 103°, and it's  all set.

Ajustage des panneaux et placement des hublots ;

Essai de mise en place moteur (Lombardini LDW 502M) à l'aide de 2 palans ;

Un regard au plafond, tout va bien ;

A look to the ceiling, all is OK, nothing wrong.

Difficile de placer correctement le moteur c'est trop étroit ;

Difficult to fit the motor, space is too narrow.

2 coups de scie plus tard c'est dégagé, on y voit plus clair ;

2 saw cuts later it is clear.

Essai de couplage arbre/moteur, c'est bon, l'inclinaison et la longueur des supports sont bons ;

Le tube d'étambot sera scellé et coupé à la bonne longueur après un dernier essai avec l'hélice dans quelques jours.

Dry fitting shaft to motor, it's OK ,the length and slope of bearers are good.

The stern tube will be glued and cut to length after a last check with the propeller in few days.

Dry fitting fridge (EL65 Isotherm)  and head (Jabsco).

Les toilettes sont centrées pour libérer un espace pour des vêtements de pluie ;

head are centered in order to free space on side for  rainwear.

Retournement de la coque ; Turning the hull

Le deuxième retournement se prépare, il est prévu le samedi  22 février, tous mes amis du club mouche sont prévenus.
The second turning over is in preparation, it is scheduled on Saturday February 22nd, all my friends from my favorite fly fishing club are aware.

Comme pour le premier retournement un cerclage en bois est en cours d'installation .

Similar to the first hull turning a wooden frame is being built.
